SWABHIMAN:- Hygiene care for women
SWABHIMAN:- Hygiene care for women meaning dignity and self-respect, is a transformative initiative by Swachetna Foundation aimed at promoting menstrual hygiene, health awareness, and dignity for women and adolescent girls, especially in underserved communities.
The program addresses the deep-rooted stigma and lack of access to hygienic menstrual products through education, empowerment, and distribution support.

Key focus areas of SWABHIMAN include:
- Menstrual hygiene awareness through community sessions, school workshops, and peer-led education.
- Access to affordable and eco-friendly sanitary products, distributed through local women entrepreneurs and self-help groups.
- Breaking taboos and stigma associated with menstruation by fostering open conversations in families and communities.
- Promoting safe sanitation practices and improving access to clean water and hygiene facilities in schools and rural areas.
- Empowering adolescent girls with knowledge on reproductive health, bodily autonomy, and self-care.
- Creating livelihood opportunities for women through the production and sale of sanitary products.
Through SWABHIMAN, Swachetna Foundation is not only improving women’s health but also restoring their confidence, dignity, and rightful place in society.
