SWAVALAMBAN: Empowerment of women
SWAVALAMBAN: Empowerment of women meaning self-reliance, is a flagship initiative of Swachetna Foundation aimed at empowering women socially, economically, and emotionally. The program envisions a future where women are independent decision-makers, financially secure, and active contributors to their communities and the economy.
SWAVALAMBAN focuses on a holistic approach to women’s empowerment through:
- Livelihood generation and skill development in areas such as tailoring, food processing, handicrafts, digital literacy, and entrepreneurship.
- Formation and strengthening of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) to promote savings, financial literacy, and collective growth.
- Access to microfinance and market linkages to support women-led businesses and income-generating activities.
- Legal and rights awareness to help women understand and assert their entitlements.
- Leadership and confidence-building workshops to cultivate agency and community engagement.
- Health, nutrition, and wellness programs to support holistic well-being.

Through SWAVALAMBAN, Swachetna Foundation is nurturing a generation of resilient, self-reliant, and empowered women, capable of shaping their destinies and transforming their communities.
