Annapurna is a flagship initiative of Swachetna Foundation aimed at ensuring food security and dignity for all, especially the underserved and vulnerable sections of society.

What we do

Objectives

  • Fight hunger and improve food security by providing nutritious meals to marginalized and underserved communities during emergencies and times of hardship.
  • Reduce food waste by partnering with food producers, restaurants, and other organizations to ensure surplus food reaches people who need it.
  • Empower communities through awareness programs, active participation, and meaningful social welfare initiatives.
  • Promote sustainable solutions to hunger through nutritional education, skill development, and livelihood opportunities

The Swachetna Foundation organized a heartfelt food donation drive, “Food for Everyone – Anna Seva,” on 14 June 2025 at Maher Vatsalyadham Shelter Home, Pune, Maharashtra. Grocery Donation Program

Grocery Donation Program

Swachetna Foundation organized a grocery donation program at C. R. Ranganathan School for Deaf & Mute, Tingare Nagar, Lane No. 01, Pune, with the aim of supporting students and contributing to their well-being. During the visit, Principal Mr. Bhosale and Rishikesh Sir shared valuable insights about the needs and challenges faced by specially-abled students. The school also highlighted the need for support to develop better residential facilities in the area for the students. Our volunteers took a meaningful step toward inclusion by interacting with the students through sign language and learning basic signs from them. We also discovered that many students have a strong interest and talent in drawing and creative activities. 🎨😊 As part of the initiative, Swachetna Foundation donated groceries worth ₹5,000 to support the school and its students. A special appreciation to Nilisha, our volunteer, for organizing this meaningful community initiative. 🤝 📍 Venue: C. R. Tata Steel Grocery Donation

Tata Steel Grocery Donation

Swachetna Foundation is grateful to Tata Steel Branch Office for voluntarily joining hands with us in our community welfare initiative and supporting the students of C. R. Ranganathan School for Mute & Deaf, Tingare Nagar, Pune. On 21 November 2025, we organized a grocery donation event at the school, where Mr. Venkat Pumpatwar, CEO of Tata Steel Branch Office, Ms. Sujata, HR Head, and other Tata Steel team members joined us to extend their support. 🛒 Grocery worth ₹12,187 was donated to support the needs of the students. The event became even more meaningful as the Tata Steel team interacted with the students and tried to learn and understand their sign language. The students warmly shared their artwork with the guests. As highlighted by Principal Mr. Bhosale, the students have a special talent for fine arts, and their beautiful drawings were presented as heartfelt gifts to everyone present. Our Senior Social Worker & Project Manager expressed sincere gratitude to the entire Tata Steel team for their valuable contribution and support. ❤️ When organizations and communities come together, every contribution becomes a step toward a more caring and inclusive society. 📅 Date: 21 November 2025 📍 Venue: C.
