Swachetna Foundation organised a Swavalamban Rakhi Stall at Splendid Square Society, Dhanori Road, Sathe Wasti, Pune, to promote beautiful handmade Rakhis created by mute and deaf students.
This initiative aimed to encourage self-employment and provide financial support to specially abled children by ensuring that the entire amount earned from the Rakhi sales was given to them as their making charges.
The Swavalamban initiative reflects our belief that every individual deserves an opportunity to become financially independent. By showcasing and selling handmade Rakhis, we helped talented mute and deaf students display their creativity while earning with dignity and confidence.
The event received a warm response from the residents of Splendid Square Society, who enthusiastically purchased the handmade Rakhis and appreciated the efforts of the young artisans. Their support encouraged the students and strengthened the spirit of community participation.
