Volunteer Training on Women's Health & Awareness

Swachetna Foundation organized a Volunteer Training and Women's Health Awareness Program at Ishwarya IVF Centre, Viman Nagar, Pune, with the objective of preparing volunteers to provide accurate health information and guidance to individuals, especially in underprivileged communities.

The training focused on creating awareness about Polycystic Ovarian Disease (PCOD), In Vitro Fertilization (IVF), Cervical Cancer, women's reproductive health, and the health challenges women may face before and after motherhood. Volunteers were also educated about the importance of preventive health check-ups, even in the absence of symptoms, emphasizing the value of early diagnosis and timely medical care.

The session provided participants with a clear understanding of the IVF treatment process, PCOD management, the importance of regular blood tests, and other essential aspects of women's healthcare. This knowledge enables volunteers to confidently guide community members toward appropriate medical consultation and preventive healthcare practices.

The program was conducted by Dr. Bhagyashree, Gynecologist and Head of Ishwarya IVF Centre, whose expert guidance helped volunteers gain practical and reliable knowledge on women's health. Swachetna Foundation also extends its sincere appreciation to Ms. Nayana Patil, Development Officer, for her valuable support in organizing the event.

In addition to health awareness, the Foundation continues to strengthen its volunteer network by providing training in disaster relief and emergency response. To date, nearly 200 volunteers have been trained to assist during pandemics, natural calamities, and community emergencies, enabling them to respond effectively whenever public support is needed.

Through this initiative, Swachetna Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to health education, volunteer capacity building, women's empowerment, and community preparedness, ensuring that trained volunteers become reliable sources of awareness and assistance within society.
